Groundworks is a prose poem that developed in response to the work of artist Emil Corsillo. The digital version of the poem is based on a single-edition, collaborative book of the same title printed in Boston, Massachusetts, May 2002. A Science of Ordinary Things is a one-of-a-kind, hand-made book based on a long poem of the same name. It contains 30 handwritten pages, 18 map sections, 7 didactic drawings, colophon (signed and dated), display instructions, 45 map tacks and 5 handmade envelopes in a box lined with the course map.

While a resident at the Anderson Center in Red Wing, MN, Conrad spent some time in the studio of Red Dragonfly Press, setting “Poem in Which We Count the Weeks Backward” in type and printing an unnumbered, limited letterpress edition of the poem.
